| 2. Keep it toned. | Since you spend a lot of time outside, environmental debris and contaminants are an issue in your skin's health. Toning helps keep your face clear and firm. On a daily basis use around 5% Glycolic so you won't burn or damage the skin.
As skin ages, it needs to work harder to preserve its elasticity. Astringents and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxyl acids work the best for toning the face. These acids essentially can reduce the pore size, and help avoid ingrown hairs. They are destructive and have quick results. Bear in mind to look for a product that is not sensitive to light.
3. Treat your skin.
According to your skin type (oily, dry or combination) and the season, there are different products that treat and boost your skin. Various treatments will have very different results. It is essential to know your skin's needs.
All skin types need to be exfoliated. This contains the removal of dead skin cells that form daily. This is an important part of skin treatment.
After shaving, you need to moisturize with a product which is entirely deprived of alcohol. Stay away from heavy scented after-shave products as well, as they can irritate the skin. Hydration is essential too. Skin that is too burnished doesn't look healthy, just fatty. Wet the excess oils away. Blotting papers or a light powder that will give you a more natural look, are both good options to try. An unnoticeable product with anti-shine is desired for a perfect look.
Always remember about your lips. Choose a balsam that has an SPF of at least 15 in it. For example, peppermint oil has a nice feel and keeps the lips looking juicy.
4. Protect your skin.
Healthy skin is young looking skin. There are defensive techniques that can encourage the best skin possible and keep it looking its best longer. Keep in mind that your skin is a mirror of your general body health. Facial endurance is the solution.
