- Massage mayonnaise in your hair (the matter is that it is excellent for conditioning hair), and if possible keep it in overnight. Don’t use hot, in otherwise the mayonnaise will set in your hair and will be very complicated to get out.
- One more simple method to make your hair shine is beer. Wash your hair in beer in the shower, and then rinse out with water. Choose a beer that does not smell too strongly, or you will give people the wrong impression at work. Shampoos based on beers used to be popular though they do not seem to be around at the present time. They never smelled of beer.
Dry Hair Women with dry hair should be very careful not to over wash it. It is very easy to take away the natural oils if you wash it too frequently.
Olive oil is a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. Heat half a cup or more if your hair is very long. Massage it through the hair, particularly the ends and middle bits because they are always drier than the hair near your scalp. After that wrap your hair in plastic, and then in a warm towel, and leave for 30 minutes. This enables to oil to go through the hair shaft. While waiting you may read a book, have a cup of tea, or watch television. In a while wash out carefully, using a gentle shampoo suitable for dry hair.
Oily Hair Different opinions exist about how often to wash oily hair. Some people avow washing it every day. Others argue that this just persuades more oil production, therefore redoubling the problem. Whenever you wash your hair, try a tablespoon of cider vinegar to the final rinse to help cut down on the grease.
